Alright guys, Philosophy tied with Apocalypse so I flipped a coin and Philosophy won 2/3.
So here's our first question: "Why is there something rather than nothing?" -Heidegger
That question is a personal favorite and I wonder about this often. There is no straight up answer so any logical argument works really. The tough part is proving that you exist and why there cannot be nothing and there needs to be something. Now comes the question how can something be made of nothing.
The issue with this philosophy is that human life and this world is really an unknown. So we may be living in a world of nothing but it is something to who it impacts. So there has to be a "something" to realize there is "nothing". This may not make sense but I just thought of it.
ReplyDeleteOk, first off, "Something" and "nothing" are just words... It is this type of philosophy that bewilders people due to the fact that is means (---->)nothing (<----)at all. "Something" is a reference of a process, idea, fact, etc. when that "something" is not said or known. "Nothing" is the absent of "Something" These two words are merely words that were created for the pure complexity of one anothers coherence. "Something" is "nothing" as even if the "something" is labelled, it is "nothing" to extent of the labelled. Lamely put, "Nothing" would mean the absent of anything. Were as, definely speaking, "everything would be something.
ReplyDeleteKeep in mind that there is no such existence of "Thing". Even though labelled as "thing", it is all considered a "process". an example is: A water bottle is not a thing, it is a process of holding water within a bottle and providing containment of liquids for self hydrating purposes... Just like weed is not a thing, but a process of photo synthesis.
Nothing can't exist. (Old Zen saying).
