    I think Osama's death is most popular because of what it means in reference to 911 and world politics.

    I Agree. Symbolism is extremely important (not to mention justice being done).

    It needs to be followed up with a "hearts and minds" (hate that phrase) campaign to swing Arab public opinion against the terrorists.
